Information for Youth

  • Are you 15-17 years old?

  • Are you on probation or informal probation? Or do you have a pending case?

  • Do you have 3 hours to spare?

If you answered YES to these questions, you may be able to join this research project to help Fresno County learn about how to help kids stay out of the trouble with the law.

What will you do?

You’ll join a one-day (three hour) in person session that includes:

Session 1

You will learn about stress, trauma, and Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs, from one of your peers in the community. ACEs are tough or bad things that can happen to kids and affect their lives.

Meal Break

A meal from a local restaurant will be provided.

Session 2

  • Share and reflect about what you learned about ACEs.

  • Discuss ways Fresno County can better support kids involved with the justice system.
