Information for Community-Based Organizations
Fresno County DBH, in partnership with CalMHSA, is conducting a research project to understand more about how to help young people in Fresno County stay out of trouble with the law. We want to hear from youth ages 15-17 who have been involved with the justice system about how they think Fresno County DBH can help support youth.
Fresno County DBH is seeking the expertise of local community-based partners that regularly engage with justice-involved youth. Community-based partners will play an important role in contributing to the overall success of this project by:
Identifying and engaging justice-involved youth (ages 15-17) to participate in the project and leveraging your networks to raise awareness about the project and its significance to the Fresno community.
Providing a safe space to host the training sessions and focus groups.
Offering guidance and support to ensure participants feel safe and empowered to share their experiences.
Participating in an optional survey to share your feedback about opportunities to create better prevention services, resources, and supports for Fresno County youth and their families.
If you’d like to learn more about the project, join us at one of our upcoming webinars.
